Ima start like this, these guys get the job done. Third Year going to Tommy specifically and he hasn’t failed me yet. They will try and get you every penny on the dollar without you being audited or any other hiccups. AND PLEASE BEWARE OF EVIL NICK over on Columbia in Red Hook. He’s trying take all the New Lots customers by making up lies saying Tommy, Nick not Matt work there anymore. They are still on NEW LOTS, ALL THREE OF THEM. The dude in Red Hook took the Smart Tax name over there and he’s trying to finesse everybody into working with him!

Just want to let people know that I was tricked into going to Redhook with a man calling to be Nick. I didn't see people I knew and walked out. It was such a small dump in Redhook. Tommy Matt and Nick are still on new lots don't fall for fraudsters!!!

These guys are amazing! I've used Nick and Thomas and both answered all my questions and concerns and made sure I left there with everything I needed to know. Matt was also a great guy & very attentive.

Walking in to this experience I hated doing my taxes. I alway feel taken advantage of and with Matt I left with a greater understanding and more confidence in my taxes than I ever have. Finding Matt was one of the best decisions I have made for my financial wellbeing.

This was my first time at Smart Tax and let me tell you, I had the best experience when it comes to filing taxes. I usually do my own taxes (huge mistake) but I decided to actually seek a professional and I met Matt. He was very professional and funny too! He took his time to explain and educate me in certain prior mistakes I made. He even fixed my last year tax return and he also manage to get me more on my returns than I ever had in my years of employment. I am going next year and the next and the next. 100% recommend Smart Tax! The customer service was phenomenal, thorough, detailed, and Matt explained EVERYTHING. I am not very savvy with tax terminology and documentation, but his service helped me feel knowledgeable and part of the process, very trustworthy. He even gave me recommendations and things to be on the lookout for this upcoming year (and long term planning) on how to best manage my finances. Matt caught a mistake from my previous years' filing and amended it. It's clear that he is one of the best.

Super amazing every time! Nick helped me this year and he was so nice and patient! I arrived to the office when they just closed, (I didn’t know they closed at the time I arrived) I called the office to see if someone could help me and even though nick just left the office, he turned around, went back to the office and proceeded to help me! Matt and his team do a great job. I’ve been an Uber driver for 3 years and they helped me get more return then I EVER got in years past. They really know they’re stuff. If you drive uber or get a 1099 they definitely are the tax people to go to.
